Dandelion Patch (2018)

The Dandelion Patch, had a small tour in 2018, performing at various venues.

It is a combination of 2 performances as we had small changes of cast over the tour to accommodate various needs.

The project was as challenging as usual. The subject matter was difficult, and working in the tight time scale was difficult, but we’re all immensely proud of the result. The piece was later adapted and performed again at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2019.

It was particularly rewarding to work with a Veteran with visual impairment. We received training from Scottish War Blinded and everyone took this on board, to the extent that this Veteran felt comfortable walking around the room during work periods, without her stick, knowing she would always be looked after. As she said, “this was a big deal for me”.

Our thanks go to our funders who this year were: The Postcode Lottery Trust, ABF The Soldier’s Charity, The Northwood Trust, the Aberbrothock Skea Trust, Help for Heroes and Dundee Council.

And congratulations to our cast of Veterans and volunteer students from the Dundee and Angus College for their tremendous commitment.
