Lived Experience films (2021)

In 2020 Stand Easy was awarded funding to work with Emergency Responders with experience of mental ill health. The first project we delivered with this funding was a film project with Police Scotland’s Wellbeing and Inclusion team. The project was delivered in partnership with media co-op with direction from Stand Easy by Hannah Uttley.

We worked with a group of 6 officers to create films telling each of their stories, themes included bereavement, racism, PTS, suicide and supporting a partner with a mental health condition.

Although most of the officers appeared in their own films we also worked with two actors (Sanjay Lago and Sebastian Lim-Seet) who portrayed two of the officers on screen.

The pieces were created as part of Police Scotland’s #Not part of the job campaign .
