Here is the link to our 2018 play: ‘The Dandelion Patch’:
It is a combination of 2 performances as we had small changes of cast over the tour to accommodate their needs.
The project was as challenging as usual. The subject matter was difficult. Working in the tight time scale was difficult. But we are all immensely proud of the result. So much so, that the cast have asked us to try and perform a slightly adapted version of the play in the Edinburgh Festival 2019. We are working on this!
It was particularly rewarding to work with a Veteran with visual impairment. We received training from Scottish War Blinded and everyone took this on board, to the extent that this Veteran felt comfortable walking around the room during work periods, without her stick, knowing she would always be looked after. As she said, “this was a big deal for me”.
Our thanks go to our funders who this year were: The Postcode Lottery Trust, ABF The Soldier’s Charity, The Northwood Trust, the Aberbrothock Skea Trust, Help for Heroes and Dundee Council.
And congratulations to our cast of Veterans and volunteer students from the Dundee and Angus College for their tremendous commitment.
