Stand Easy is in the news again! Thanks to the Daily Record for featuring our work, and especially one of our Veteran success stories. If you’ve ever wondered about what we do, or about coming along to a workshop, make sure you read on!
“It’s not just prancing about”: How these theatre group sessions are helping veterans with PTSD –
Alan reports from a conference of smaller Veterans Charities at the Military Museum next to the Scottish War Blinded Centre at Linburn:
“Most of our time at the conference was spent getting to know each other, what we did and how we could maybe work with, or support each other in the future. This was so useful, and it was so good to speak to people who understood, and knew exactly what we were talking about.
I would like to give thanks to Ian for letting us use the great Museum space, and especially to Bruce for organising and running the day.”
In other news, Stand Easy is about to lose our Chair and our Treasurer. We would like to thank both Jack Barton and Fiona Barton for their tremendous support and work on our behalf. Our Chair has been with us from the very start and we would not be where we are now without him. Our Treasurer has survived the frustrations of getting our banking system online – which has been a vital development for us. We wish them both well.
Would you like to help Stand Easy move forward?
Do you think you would be suited to taking on the role of Stand Easy’s Treasurer or Trustee (possibly Chair)?
If so, do get in touch to discuss things further. Email: [email protected]
