Meeting with Bill Bowman, MSP for the N.E. and Philip Scott, councillor for Broughty Ferry
Alan Cameron

Following making a statement in our support in the Scottish Parliament, Bill Bowman, together with Philip Scott, met with myself and committee members Jack Barton and Billy Girdlaw at Rosendael Veterans Home, today.

We were able to explain in detail what we do and how we work – and most importantly, what the positive effects of our work are.

Our thanks to Bill and Philip for taking an interest in Stand Easy and also for being concerned for the welfare of Veterans generally.

THE START OF OUR WEEKLY WORKSHOPS
Alan Cameron

We are under way. A bit of an enjoyable reunion for us all, but we did manage to get a little work done along with the usual induction stuff. So good to get everyone together on a regular basis.

We now have to fill the last places. So if you know of any Wounded, Injured or Sick Veteran out there who you feel could benefit from what we do – please tell them. We mostly work with Veterans who have had mental health issues and the majority of these are issues related to PTSD. Typically these Veterans will only get in touch with us with a lot of encouragement and support. It takes courage to admit help is needed and then even more courage to join an organisation such as Stand Easy. So any suppport you can give them is worthwhile, and we really can help.
